The Romanian Police issued an important warning for scooter owners who are thinking of going out on the public streets during this period, and it is good to know what you should know in order not to risk getting a fine from the authorities while you are walking.

The Romanian Police explains below what you need to know, and to respect, if you have an electric scooter, and you intend to ride it in the next period on public roads, so you must be careful not to risk violating traffic laws.

"Do you have a scooter or are you thinking about getting one? We have some useful information for you:
– You can only drive it if you are at least 14 years old. If you are between 14 and 16 years old, a helmet is mandatory.
– You can only drive on specially designed tracks, and if they don't exist, you can only drive on road sections where the maximum speed is 50 km/h;
– You cannot drive on the sidewalk;
– The scooter must be equipped with means of lighting;
– You can only go on it alone.”
