Ministry of Health: when we find out how many Romanians have antibodies for the Coronavirus

In June, the Ministry of Health started a seroprevalence test, that is, a test that has the purpose of telling us which Romanians have antibodies for the Coronavirus, and theoretically they should benefit from immunity against re-infection in the near future, at least .

The Ministry of Health carried out this test as part of a national process of testing Romanians, when they were also doing their analyses, and according to Minister Nelu Tataru, in September we should also have the results of this test carried out by the Romanian authorities.

The Ministry of Health will rely on the results of this test to figure out how the second wave of infections with the new Coronavirus will affect Romania, even though the first wave has not yet ended in our country, unfortunately.

"That seroprevalence test started and the collections from various laboratories in the counties began and this collection continues. At this moment, the pace has decreased, because we have to manage a second hump of the first pandemic wave, but that test continues. The results will come at the beginning of September."
