The Coronavirus pandemic in Romania remains a very serious one, with over 1000 new cases registered daily, the authorities hope that this "trend" will be maintained even after schools, restaurants, and other activities are reopened, having already been reopened since The past days.

The number of dead people, and that of people in intensive care, remains high, and it is normal since the number of infections with the new Coronavirus is high, but the authorities still hope that these values ​​will not be exceeded after so many relaxation measures, plus the elections local.

The authorities in Romania say that they are preparing for an increase in new cases of Coronavirus, if the case arises, and this means new problems with the allocation of beds in hospitals, and not only that, but if the protection rules are respected, it is possible that the situation don't be so serious.

"Until today, September 4, on the territory of Romania, 92.595 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.

39.626 patients were declared cured and 11.868 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1.339 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. To date, 3.812 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died.

Between 03.09.2020 (10:00) and 04.09.2020 (10:00) 47 deaths (27 men and 20 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Arad, Argeș, Bihor, were recorded , Bistrita-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dolj, Giurgiu, Gorj, Ialomița, Iasi, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Satu Mare, Suceava, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 30-39 years, 1 death in the age category 40-49 years, 5 deaths were registered in the age category 50-59 years, 9 deaths in the age category 60 -69 years, 17 deaths in the 70-79 age category and 14 deaths in the over 80 age category.

46 of the registered deaths are of patients who presented comorbidities, and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.396. Of these, 485 are hospitalized at ATI.

Until this date, at the national level, 1.901.240 tests have been processed. Of these, 25.177 were performed in the last 24 hours, 14.781 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 10.396 on request.

On the territory of Romania, 9.519 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 6.054 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 34.952 people are in home quarantine, and 71 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

 

In the last 24 hours, 1.009 calls were made to the single emergency number 112 and 524 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened specifically for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 611 contraventional sanctions, in the amount of 139.101 lei.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs operationalized, starting on 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection rules can be reported.

The calls are taken by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported aspects.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, 6.595 Romanian citizens have been confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1.903 in Italy, 1253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2.935 in Germany, 158 in Great Britain , 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in USA, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Hungary and Qatar. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and up to this moment, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the US, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, have died."
