Ministry of Health: Priests' message regarding Vaccination against the Coronavirus

Ministry of Health priests coronavirus vaccination

The Ministry of Health announced a few weeks ago that the Romanian Church will be involved in promoting information on vaccination against the Coronavirus, and below we have the first messages from some priests regarding the reasons for recommending immunization.

""To those who deny the reality of the virus, I would propose Pascal's bet adapted for this situation: if the virus does not exist and I give credence to the idea, I lose nothing. But if it exists and it's dangerous and I don't believe the idea, I already have a problem. It's a risk-free bet. I accept rather to be taken by the sucker than to bear on my conscience the fact that maybe, out of pure ignorance or stupidity, I sent someone to ATI or, more seriously, too early to the Lord" says father Dorel Galan, who serves at the Church of Saint George from Cluj.
Father Bogdan Chiorean, who works in a hospital in Cluj, tells us: "Some get vaccinated. Because of fear. Others do not vaccinate. From another fear. I went through the disease, I probably have antibodies. I don't know how many or how long they stay at a protective level. And I don't even care. Because I have the moral strength to admit that I have limited knowledge and I value people who strive to be good for us."
The two priests inspire us, through their faith, but also through the trust they have in people. Scientists, medical personnel and us, their peers. They chose to get vaccinated against COVID-19."
