Coronavirus Romania New Cases, Cures January 27

The new report on the situation of the Corona virus pandemic in Romania shows us that the situation in our country has radically improved compared to the autumn of last year, and this is very good news for everyone because the number of cases is decreasing.

Figures regarding deaths and the number of people admitted to intensive care are also decreasing, with some hospital managers also saying that there are more free beds available, which means that things seem to be heading for a much better situation.

The number of vaccinated people is constantly increasing every day, but within the limits imposed by the number of doses available, which makes the vaccination process difficult throughout Europe, unfortunately, so it remains to be seen what will happen to us.

"Puntil today, January 27, on the territory of Romania, 718.612 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus were confirmed.
Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 3.174 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 1.003 people were reconfirmed positive.

Until today, 18.015 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

In the interval 26.01.2021 (10:00) - 27.01.2021 (10:00) 77 deaths (46 men and 31 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Alba, Argeș, Bacău, were reported . Of these, 1 death was registered in the age category 40-49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 18 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 29 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 25 deaths in the over 80 category. 72 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had comorbidities, 2 deceased patients did not present comorbidities, and for 3 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7.839. Of these, 1.025 are hospitalized at ATI.

Until this date, at the national level, 5.354.600 RT-PCR tests and 95.533 rapid antigen tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 25.604 RT-PCR tests (17.096 based on case definition and medical protocol and 8.508 on request) and 7.523 rapid antigen tests were performed. Also, since the last information provided by GCS, the results of 88 tests processed prior to the last 24 hours and transmitted until January 27 of this year were also reported"
