Ministry of Health: How to Administer Dose 3 of the Coronavirus Vaccine

Ministry of Health How to Administer Dose 3 of the Coronavirus Vaccine

The Ministry of Health explains below, through the Secretary of State Andrei Baciu, how Romanians who want to get vaccinated with the third dose of the vaccine to strengthen their immunity against the Coronavirus can proceed at the moment, and it is important to find out what the doctor transmits now.

"From Tuesday (September 28) the administration of the 3rd dose of the vaccine begins!
The vaccine can be given by all people who are more than 6 months after the second dose and who have been immunized with the Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccines. The regimen can only be supplemented with messenger RNA vaccines, including those who initially received the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine, regardless of whether or not they experienced adverse reactions.
Regarding the people who chose the vaccine developed by Johnson&Johnson, we will wait for new scientific data, and in the next period our specialists will make a decision regarding the administration of the booster.
We want to reduce serious cases of COVID19 and recommend prioritizing vaccination of people from vulnerable categories: those over 65, with chronic diseases (regardless of age), those in medical and social centers and other categories of vulnerable people provided for in the vaccination strategy ;
We also want the health system not to be blocked and educational institutions to remain open. Therefore, we recommend that all people working in these fields get a new dose of the vaccine.
Presentation for vaccination can be done as follows:
directly to the vaccination center (see here which center is closest to your home
by scheduling in the #RoVaccinare platform.
After the administration of the third dose, each person will receive the vaccination certificate, which will include all 3 doses administered.
I encourage those who have not been vaccinated to do so! It is important to reduce the number of serious cases and loss of life. Vaccination is the only way we can do that."
