Lumia 940 and 940 XL are the future smartphones that the company Microsoft is preparing to launch them on the market in the next period, and according to the latest information, they will be more expensive than the competitors iPhone 6 si 6 iPhone Plus launched by the Apple company in 2014.
Lumia 940 will contain a 5.2-inch Full HD screen with a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage space and a microSD card, while the Lumia 940 XL will have a 5.7-inch screen with QHD resolution, but and a Snapdragon 810 processor produced by Qualcomm.
Lumia 940 and 940 XL they are going to be equipped with 20-megapixel PureView main cameras, but also a 5-megapixel front camera, so we are talking about mobile terminals capable of recording high-resolution photos and videos in any kind of conditions.
Regarding the quality of the materials, it seems that for Lumia 940 and 940 XL, Microsoft intends to use hard plastic, even though even Samsung has started to distance itself from this type of material to try to offer terminals that have a premium appearance.
However, Lumia 940 and 940 XL will not be cheaper than other Android smartphones and iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, the two terminals will be more expensive than them, even than Samsung Galaxy S6 or Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge , so the starting price could be over $700.
Microsoft's strategy regarding the Lumia 940 and 940 XL is quite strange in a world where expensive smartphones must have not only a premium appearance, but also premium materials, so their chances of success are small since good start
If we also add the fact that the Lumia 940 and 940 XL will run Windows Phone, then you can understand why some will be reluctant to buy them, but it remains to be seen how they will be launched on the market.
And on the stiff store shelves!
I first had Andriod SG1, then IOS i4. after windows mobile lumia 720……. I don't want to hear about windows mobile again in my life and after. There is no bigger mess than WM for now. I only had problems with it (in the sense of the OS, not that I had bugs). Android is good but cracks after a while. The most stable is IOS, it lasts forever and of course with jailbreak all the time. As an idea, a lot of work still needs to be done on WM, a lot in fact. It can take out any Lumia, with a hologram screen or other nonsense, but I still wouldn't take it even if it were free, possibly because my mom:) PS
I'm doing something in the world, Nokia we want valid phones, until the appearance of the first iPhone Nokia was Nokia
If it's true what you write there, they might sell about 25 phones by the end of the year...
What retards 🙂
@Jack!
And those 25 buyers should be from Microsoft staff
