Orange 4G – how fast is the network?

More than a week now Orange, Cosmote si Vodafone they grew up internet browsing speeds using 4G network, Orange being the only operator that has extended 4G coverage, being at the moment the mobile phone operator with the most extensive 4G network in the country. If you ask how fast is this new network, well theoretically the network allows surfing the Internet at 4G speeds up to 150 Mbps, the real speed reported by Orange being up to 80 Mbps if you have the option Superfast 4G active.

Having the opportunity to test the new one 4G network thanks to the people from Orange, I managed to reach Suceava maximum download speed of 134 Mbps and 24 Mbps for upload. In the case of the download, I came close to 16 Mbps of the maximum speed offered by the operator, and in the case of the upload speed, to 6 Mbps of the maximum speed allowed by the network. The test was done in the city Suceava, and the speed achieved is approximately 40 Mbps higher than that achieved in various areas of Bucharest, the capital still having several active 4G terminals in the network.

This practically generated much better results in the province than in the capital and in various cities in the country, users managed to pass the 100 Mbps barrier for downloading in the Orange 4G network. Despite these very good results, as the network becomes more and more congested, the speeds will decrease accordingly, and in a year I expect the maximum speed in Bucharest to be approximately 60 Mbps at the best conditions. Having said that, don't forget that Orange offers you 1 GB of free internet to test the new 4G network and here you can find out how you can get it.

The tests were done using iPad Air si Samsung Galaxy S5. What results did you get in the 4G tests done with your operators?
