WhatsApp will allow you to cancel sent messages

WhatsApp will allow us to cancel the sending of messages to our interlocutors, the new function being already tested by users.

WhatsApp is going to offer one of the most interesting functions in a future update for the application, it being visible in the image below. More precisely, the WhatsApp application will allow us to cancel the messages already sent to our interlocutors, so they will no longer see them, if they did not have the application open when we sent them.

The function should be similar to the one that some email services offer to cancel the sending of some emails a few tens of seconds after sending. In the case of WhatsApp, it is not known how long after sending a message its sending can be cancelled, so we only have to find out when the function will be available on a wider scale.

You can see in the image below what the option that will be available in the WhatsApp application looks like, it being integrated in the action button to respond to messages. After pressing that button, the application will display a second message to confirm our action, the message being revoked immediately.

At the moment, this function for canceling the sending of messages is being tested in the beta versions of the WhatsApp application for iPhone and Android. No one knows how long it will take until it will be available globally, but as soon as it is available, I will let you know in a subsequent article.
