Huawei phones were BANNED in a First European Country

Huawei phones are FORBIDDEN European country

Huawei phones were banned in a new European country, which raises new big question marks about the future of the company, and this just a day after it was announced that its sales in Q3 2019 exceeded all expectations. More precisely, the Ministry of Defense in Spain has taken the decision to prohibit the access of Huawei phones to its servers for any kind of information stored in them, including for reading and sending emails.

Spania is the first the European country where Huawei phones have been banned for such interactions with confidential information that is stored by the military, or by any other information services. In the USA, this decision was made a long time ago, but here we are, including in Europe, the first ban on Huawei phones for safety reasons, the Spanish government being afraid of data theft through these devices.

Huawei has strongly denied that its phones have security problems and has said that it has not received any notification from the Ministry of Defense in Spain regarding the ban imposed on its phones. Of course, there was no need for such a thing from the government considering that the measure only applies to army employees, so Huawei should not have received any alert from the government that its phones are banned in the army network.

"The Ministry of Defense has issued an emergency order for the units of the department, a resolution prohibiting the connection to the IT systems of the Ministry from electronic devices of the Chinese manufacturer Huawei."

Huawei has always denied that its products have security problems that allow the Chinese government to access the data that is transferred through them, but if Spain has decided to ban Chinese phones, something is wrong. Until now, Huawei has had quite good news from Europe, with governments avoiding directly banning the company's products for 5G networks, although various telecommunications operators have clearly announced this.

Huawei could also have problems in Germany, where despite Angela Merkel's support, those in her party would like the Chinese GSM equipment not to be used for the country's 5G networks.
