UPDATE: The Minister of Health and the Ministry of the Ministry of the Interior announce emergency measures taken to block the export of medicines from Romania outside the country, the medicines being essential for the fight against the Coronavirus.

Due to reduced traffic, the border crossing points Turnu, Sacuieni, Salonta, Valea lui Mihai, Sighet Negru Voda, Lipnita, Dobromir, Zimnicea, Turnu Magurele, Bechet, Radauti-Prut, Oancea, the points unilaterally closed by Serbia are temporarily closed .


The coronavirus continues to spread in Romania, reaching 50 infections today, with 3 new cases announced by the authorities, and now the Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, announces a series of new measures that are being prepared for our country in the fight against the virus .

The coronavirus forced unprecedented measures to be taken after 1989, public gatherings of more than 1000 people, or private gatherings of more than 100 people, flights to and from certain countries, quarantine of citizens coming from many countries, and not no more.

The Romanian government is taking measures to help the DSPs that carry out the epidemiological investigations, additional personnel being found to support the inspectors who are now carrying out their activity, the investigations will also be extended.

The Prime Minister also demands an increase in the diagnostic capacity of patients who have the possibility of being infected with the Coronavirus.

In support of DSPs, ambulances will be used with higher priority to help transport samples, and not only when requests are made from this institution, all as the number of cases could increase.

Preparations are currently being made for the moment when the third stage in the fight against the Coronavirus will be entered, that is, an expansion of hospital beds to accommodate more infected patients.

The Prime Minister asks people to be much more responsible and to strictly comply with the protection recommendations from the authorities, but to look much more circumspectly at the fake news distributed via Facebook and WhatsApp.

The interoperability of the databases of the STS, the Romanian Police, the Border Police, etc., is to be improved so that citizens' data can be accessed much more easily, especially when checking at the borders.

The prevention of public utility companies in connection with the intervention of clients who are in isolation at home and could represent a risk for the employees sent by them.
