The Ministry of Health says, through the Secretary of State Andrei Baciu, that by June 1 the goal of vaccinating 5 million people would be reached, if the rate of immunization continues or increases, and so it is possible that on June 1 be announced some relaxations.
The Ministry of Health says that it is necessary for at least 50.000 people to be immunized daily with the first dose until June 1 in order to reach the goal, but with no 3 million people vaccinated with at least one dose so far, it is clear that there is a need more.
"We are at the next point: we have 2,8 million vaccinated people and we have to reach this target of 5 million vaccinated people at the beginning of June. Today, for example, 59.000 people were vaccinated with the first dose.
We have around 40 days until June 1st. If we have 50.000 people vaccinated with the first dose every day, in ten days there are 500.000 people, in 40 days there will be 2 million people, so we are on schedule to reach this goal."
