ANM Meteorological Warnings LAST TIME All Romania

Two new meteorological warnings have been issued by the National Meteorological Administration, ANM, from Romania, and they target the whole country because we are talking about a series of temporarily accentuated atmospheric instability phenomena with quantitatively significant rains, heavy rains and high thermal discomfort.

The warnings from ANM cover almost the entire country during the days of August 23 and August 24, two yellow and one orange codes being established by the Romanian authorities for meteorological phenomena affecting the country, so it's good to know what will happen today and tomorow.

CODE YELLOW WEATHER WARNING!

Validity period: August 23, 10:00 a.m. – August 24, 10:00 p.m.

Targeted phenomena: temporarily accentuated atmospheric instability, quantitatively significant rains.

Affected areas: as per text and map.

In the mentioned interval, there will be periods of increased atmospheric instability in most of the country. There will be torrential showers, electrical discharges, wind intensifications and in places gales and hail. In short periods of time or through accumulation, water quantities will exceed 25...30 l/sq m and in small areas 40...50 l/sq m.

Validity period: August 23, 10:00 a.m. – August 24, 10:00 p.m.

Targeted phenomena: heavy rains.

Affected areas: as per text and map.

In the north of Oltenia and Muntenia, in the south of Banat, as well as in the Southern and Curbura Carpathians, there will be periods of torrential showers. In short periods of time, but especially through accumulation, amounts of water of 40...50 l/m60 will be recorded and in small areas more than 80...XNUMX l/mXNUMX.

CODE YELLOW WEATHER ALERT!

Validity range: August 23 and 24.

Targeted phenomena: high thermal discomfort.

Affected areas: as per text and map.

On Tuesday and Wednesday (August 23 and 24) in the southeast of the country, thermal discomfort will be high, and the temperature-humidity index (ITU) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. It will be hot locally, the maximum temperatures will be between 32 and 36 degrees, and the minimum temperatures will not drop below 19...21 degrees.

Note: In the second half of the week, thermal discomfort will be increasing in the rest of the country as well.
