Astazi Apple a facut un anunt la care probabil multi se asteptau deja, disponibilitatea internationala a iPad va fi amanata pana la sfarsitul lunii mai datorita vanzarilor record pe care le-a inregistrat iPad-ul in SUA. Conform Apple s-au vandut peste de 500.000 iPads pana acum si exista foarte multe pre-comenzi pentru iPad 3G, iar Apple se vede nevoita sa amane lansarea internationala a iPad cu inca o luna pentru a mentine stocurile pe piata nord americana.

Apple today released the following statement:
Although we have delivered more than 500,000 iPads during its first week, demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks as more people see and touch an iPad™. We have also taken a large number of pre-orders for iPad 3G models for delivery by the end of April.
Faced with this surprisingly strong US demand, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the international launch of iPad by one month, until the end of May. We will announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders on Monday, May 10. We know that many international customers waiting to buy an iPad will be disappointed by this news, but we hope they will be pleased to learn the reason-the iPad is a runaway success in the US thus far.

Avand in vedere situatia actuala, ce se va intampla cu solutiile de jailbreak pentru firmware 3.1.3 pe care toata lumea le tinea pana la lansarea iPad 3G? Vor mentine cele spuse anterior si vor lansa solutiile la sfarsitul lunii aprilie cand va fi disponibil iPad 3G in SUA sau vor intarzia cu o luna pentru a nu risca o patch-uire a exploit-urilor? Eu spun ca vor mentine datele initiale si jailbreak-ul pentru firmware 3.1.3 va fi disponibil la sfarsitul lunii aprilie deoarece o lansare la sfarsitul lunii mai nu ar avea rost tinand cont ca iPhone OS 4.0 va aparea in luna iunie.
