Parlamentul britanic se echipeaza cu 650 de tablete iPad

  Pentru ca sunt atat de frumoase si atat de utile, tabletele iPad vor inlocui vechile laptop-uri ale parlamentarilor britanici, statul urmand sa cumpere nu mai putin de 650 de produse ale companiei Apple. Tablete vor primi doar cei care sunt de acord sa lase vechile laptop-uri la institutie si sa primeasca o tableta in schimb, iar costul intregului proiect se ridica la aproximativ 420.000$. Ideea nu este noua, alte guverne optand pentru oferirea de iDevice-uri catre angajati, insa putine guverne sunt capabile sa sustina un asemenea efort financiar.

Taxpayers, however, might be less impressed given that the upgrade from laptops to Apple iPads will cost anything between £260,000 and £430,000 to the public purse. That expense only covers the bulk price tag for the kit and doesn’t include the cost of running apps and downloading data onto the mobile tablets. MPs will be asked to trade old laptops or computers in exchange for an iPad, the cost of which can be claimed on expenses. They have to agree to receive documents about parliamentary business on the fondleslabs rather than have that information printed out on paper.

  In Romania am observat ca foarte multi politicieni folosesc tableta celor de la Apple in Parlament, nu cred ca statul le cumpara asemenea dispozitive insa e bine de stiut ca unii sunt in pas cu tehnologia, iar cand guvernul va anunta masuri de acest gen putina lume va mai fi surprinsa de decizie.
