We are talking about a new announcement from CERT-RO, the Romanian institution from which we receive cyber security warnings, making an announcement about an attack targeting Huawei phone users in Romania at the moment.
Phones. More precisely, Huawei mobile phone users are targeted by a new phishing attack that tries to steal their personal data, and the method itself is far from new. As you can see from the message below, we are talking about an attack based on a false promotional campaign for Huawei phone users, asking them for personal data in order to obtain imaginary prizes.

Phones. Social networks are one of the main means through which links to these malicious websites are shared, and of course there are many gullible Romanians who fall into the hackers' net. As part of this attack, Huawei phone users are asked to answer a series of questions in order to get some prizes, and at the end they are also asked for personal data to deliver them, but of course nothing will come of it.
Phones. Similar attacks were carried out in recent weeks by hackers who used the brands of some companies, or even government institutions, in Romania, the aim being to collect people's personal data. The only way you can protect yourself against attacks of this kind on phones is to avoid participating in surveys/studies from unknown people, and not to give your personal data to such people/websites.
