Romanian government: quarantine of some localities possible soon

The Romanian government may quarantine the locality

The Government of Romania, through the Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, declared that there is soon a possibility of quarantining certain localities in Romania where there is a strong community transmission of the Coronavirus, but the quarantine of some counties is still quite far away, for now.

The Romanian government does not want to impose too restrictive measures on Romanians, which is to be expected, in the end, but the quarantine of some localities is very possible in the context where there is a very high daily number of infections, and for now there are no solutions to solve the problems .

"We are not in a position to quarantine a county, any county. Currently, there are a number of localities that are under surveillance. The procedure for the quarantine of any community has not yet been started, but there are a number... In Arges, for example, there are 3 localities that are under evaluation and, in case the virus continues to spread, the suspension can be ordered. There are 3 or 4 localities in Brasov.

An evaluation was made for localities. So far no such measure has been taken, but if necessary, we will not hesitate to take such decisions. Decisions are made, obviously, at the proposal of the County Committee for Emergency Situations, with the approval of the INSP, DSP, by order of the commander."
