The Government of Romania: the request for the closure of premises that ignore the measures of the Coronavirus

The Romanian government is asking for help from the mayors for the coronavirusThe Government of Romania, through Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, asks the mayors from all over the country to support the authorities of the central public administration in imposing preventive measures against the new Coronavirus, and to suspend the operating authorizations of premises that do not comply with preventive measures.

The Romanian government has the power to take certain measures against these premises, but the town halls are, in the vast majority of cases, the ones that can suspend their activity in cases where they do not comply with the measures to prevent the spread of the new Coronavirus in Romania.

The Romanian government asks the mayors to collaborate with the representatives of the control institutions, and to close the premises where the rules are ignored, but it is difficult to say to what extent there will be cooperation between the institutions, considering the situation in Romania.

"I have only one simple message: be with us in the action to combat the risk of spreading the virus. The attitude of the mayors is very important, the extent to which the mayors give public messages to the community, and also do not forget the extent to which the administrative acts are of a nature to reduce the epidemiological risk.

I'll give you just one example: the town halls issue operating authorizations for many types of activities, we can only partially suspend certain types of activities, while the suspension of authorizations is the exclusive attribute of the town hall and I ask for your participation in the effort we have for to limit the spread of the virus."
