The Romanian government has published very important new information regarding the 2nd stage of the vaccination strategy against the Coronavirus, mentioning how it will unfold, and which people can benefit from immunization right now to be protected.

The Romanian government describes below all the people who will be able to benefit from vaccination, as well as the ways in which they can register, the authorities trying to vaccinate as many people as possible, although they are still not close to the goal of 20.000 vaccinations daily.

"Clarifications regarding the population at risk, included in the second stage of the Vaccination Strategy against COVID-19
We inform public opinion on the fact that in the second stage of the Vaccination Strategy against COVID-19 in Romania, the population at risk is included, represented by:
a) Adults over 65 years of age;
b) Persons on record with chronic diseases, regardless of age, depending on the indications of the vaccines used.
According to current scientific evidence, the category of "chronic diseases" includes any of the following conditions:
- Diabetes
– Obesity
– Other metabolic diseases, including congenital ones
– Cardiovascular diseases
– Kidney diseases
– Oncological conditions
– Pulmonary conditions
– Neurological conditions, including Down syndrome
– Moderate/severe liver diseases
– Autoimmune diseases
- Severe immunosuppression: transplant patients, with prior medical consultation, patients following biological therapies or long-term therapy with corticosteroids, patients infected with HIV/AIDS."
