The Romanian government is alerting Romanians about a new attack method used at the European level against people, based on the use of voice messaging to circumvent the 2-step authentication systems meant to protect us.
"A new attack method, identified at the European level, is used by the voice messaging service to bypass the two-step authentication system on users' devices.
So far, we have not identified such attacks on users in Romania, but we must remain vigilant about the security of the authentication process in our accounts. And as today is European Data Protection Day, we can celebrate by double-checking our security and privacy settings."
