How the Romanian Government Grants 100 LEI Vaccination Vouchers

The Government of Romania has established, through the Ministry of Health, how to grant 100 LEI vouchers for vaccination to Romanians who choose to be immunized, and below you have the entire methodology based on which these vouchers will be granted to anyone willing to be immunized from now on.

"Cseke Attila, the interim Minister of Health signed today, September 10, 2021, the Order of the Minister of Health regarding the granting of food allowance in the form of meal vouchers, to people who are vaccinated with the full vaccination scheme against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

According to the document, people who are vaccinated against COVID-19 with the complete vaccination schedule benefit from a food allowance worth 100 lei, in the form of 5 meal tickets.

Persons vaccinated with the full schedule will be able to obtain meal tickets at the vaccination center, the family doctor's office or the specialized outpatient clinic, depending on the place where the immunization was carried out, based on the record register operated. Vouchers can be collected within 60 days from the date of inoculation of the last dose.

All people who have been immunized after the entry into force of the emergency ordinance that provides for the granting of vouchers in the amount of 100 lei for people vaccinated against COVID 19 with the full scheme, respectively starting on August 31, 2021, will benefit from vouchers.

"We estimate that the vouchers will be able to be distributed in vaccination centers, family doctors' offices and specialized outpatient clinics starting in October. The order issued today completes the legal framework. Immediately after the publication in the Official Gazette, we will secure the budgetary resources, after that the printing and distribution of meal vouchers." declared Cseke Attila, Minister of Health.

The public health departments of the county and of the municipality of Bucharest will carry out the procedure of purchasing, as an emergency, the services of printing and issuing meal tickets within 10 days from the date of allocation by the Ministry of Health of the necessary funds for this destination.

After purchasing the meal tickets, the public health departments will distribute within 5 days to the vaccination centers, family doctors' offices and specialized outpatient clinics where the vaccination process is carried out.

The order of the Minister of Health will enter into force once it is published in the Official Gazette.

We remind you that, in order to speed up the vaccination campaign, the Government of Romania adopted an ordinance on August 30 that provides for the granting of vouchers worth 100 lei for people vaccinated against COVID-19 with the full scheme."
