The Government of Romania revealed today, through the voice of the Director of the National Institute of Health and Welfare, that the estimates so far regarding the evolution of the number of new cases of Coronavirus are somewhat true, but unfortunately it is expected that in the future there will be a greater negative evolution of the number of new cases .
The Romanian government tells us that there is a risk that the final number of new cases of Coronavirus will be higher than what the authorities estimated, and this will be a real problem for the management of the pandemic in the whole country, given that the hospitals are already full.
"We are very close to October, if we think about it, we are on September 28. For sure, some of these 11.000 cases come a little behind, from the weekend, but for us it certifies that what we predicted for October is very close to coming true and maybe there is a risk of it happening even more much more than I predicted.
Yeah sure. In conclusion, it is certain that the number of Delta-type strains identified through sequencing processes is increasing. We all know that two weeks ago we already declared community transmission of this strain, which makes us believe that it is the dominant strain of the cases we are seeing. Practically, in the last three weeks, from all the samples sequenced, we have not seen another type of strain, so it is not surprising that the number is increasing, certainly in accordance with the increase in illnesses."
