The Romanian government has announced a new package of social and economic measures for millions of Romanians throughout the country, and this in the conditions in which we are talking about aid given to Romanians who, at this time, need everything the government can offer them.
The measures that the Romanian Government announced today will be applied starting on July 1 of this year, so we don't have much to wait until this happens, and below you have all the details you should you know right now
"The governing coalition decided, today, to launch a new package of social and economic measures "Support for Romania", worth 1,1 billion euros.
1. Postponement for 9 months of bank installments for citizens and companies facing financial difficulties due to the multiple crises of the last period.
2. Granting a quarter of the difference in salary, in accordance with the Law on Unitary Salaries, due to the categories of employees in the public system.
3. Granting a one-time support of 700 lei for all pensioners with pensions below 2.000 lei.
The measures will be applied on July 1 this year
At the same time, the Government will take measures for fiscal consolidation and compliance with commitments regarding the public deficit, as follows:
- reducing budget expenditures by at least 10%, except for investments, salaries, pensions, social assistance;
- suspension of state employment;
- increasing revenue collection to the state's general consolidated budget by 10 billion lei;
- accelerating the absorption of European funds from operational programs and PNRR. In this sense, the Coalition will carry out a monthly assessment of the absorption stage."
