The Government of Romania Extends the State of Alert September 2021

The Romanian government will extend the state of alert until September 2021, this being confirmed by Raed Arafat during this day during a press conference that was held at the Ministry of Health, together with the minister Ioana Mihaila.

The Romanian government has been extending the state of alert ever since the state of emergency was lifted, i.e. from May 2020, and this process will more than likely continue until the spring of 2022 as the number of new cases of Coronavirus will continue to be picked up.

The Romanian government is using the state of alert to try to control the number of new cases of infection in Romania, and this is because without the measures imposed through it, the number of hospitalizations and deaths would explode in the coming weeks and months.
