Pokemon GO - 200 million dollars in revenue in 30 days

It's been over a month since the game Pokemon GO has been released, and now we begin to find out how great its success is compared to that of other important games launched in the App Store by various American companies, a company called SensorTower providing us with the graph below.

According to SensorTower, the Pokemon GO game generated revenues of 200 million dollars in its first month of availability on the market, 75 million dollars more than the game closest to its success, Clash Royale, and this is a huge achievement for the people at Niantic.

As you can see from the graph, the release in Japan generated a significant increase in the receipts recorded by Pokemon GO, specifically this country generating almost 3 times more money than the rest of the countries where the game was initially available, and that says a lot about the Asian market.

Pokemon GO – 200 million dollars in the first month, mainly from Japan

IERI (Yesterday) Pokemon GO was launched in 15 other Asian countries by the Apple company, and its availability in several countries in that region can generate even more money for Niantic, the amount of $200 from the first month being able to double or even triple thanks to the popularity of the game in that area.

Practically, though Pokemon GO conquered a lot of western countries in the immediate period of the launch, it seems that Asia is the region of the globe where the title generates and will generate the most money in the future, so Niantic will probably focus on Asia to grow substantially game revenue.

At the moment no one knows how much money Niantic has invested to bring this game to global markets and how much it continues to spend with its availability, but there is a good chance that out of the 200 million dollars generated by the game, it will cover expenses and make a little profit, at least for now.
