John Sculley, omul care l-a inlocuit pe Steve Jobs la conducerea Apple in anul 1985 sustine ca, concedierea lui Steve Jobs a fost o greseala. Afirmatia vine la aproape doua decenii de la masura luata impotriva lui Steve Jobs, Sculley sustinand ca divergentele dintre el Jobs au aparut in momentul in care fostul fondator Apple a cerut ca Macintosh-ul sa fie subventionat. Sculley si consiliul director al Apple au decis sa il concedieze pe Steve Jobs in loc sa aplice o subventie pentru produsul companiei, insa privind in trecut, fostul CEO considera totul drept o decizie gresita.
However, he still feels that some way would have been found to have them both work for the company and this could have been facilitated by Apple’s board then. “I think there could have been a way, in hindsight, where Steve and I did not need to have a confrontation, and we could have worked it out. And, perhaps the board could have played a bigger role in that. But you can’t change history.”
