Deoarece anul trecut Apple a interzis dezvoltatorilor sa mai preia informatii despre UDID-urile iDevice-urilor prin aplicatiile din iOS, acum compania pregateste lansarea unui nou instrument prin care dezvoltatorii pot urmari interactiunea utilizatorilor cu aplicatiile. Deocamdata nu se stie cum anume vor putea urmari dezvoltatorii felul in care utilizam aplicatiile disponibile in App Store, insa metoda conceputa de Apple ar urma sa protejeze intimitatea noastra, dar sa ofere informatii utile pentru dezvoltatori. Nu se stie daca acest instrument va fi prezentat la WWDC 2012 sau mai tarziu, insa lansarea sa pare destul de sigura.
Apple Inc. is planning to release a new way for mobile app developers to track who uses their software, according to people briefed on Apple’s plans, the company’s latest attempt to balance developers’ appetite for targeting data with consumers’ unease over how it is used.
The new tool, which could be detailed in the coming weeks, aims to better protect user privacy than existing approaches, these people said.
La fel de nesigura este prezenta in cadrul WWDC-ului a unei aplicatii numita generic Organize. Aceasta aplicatie ne-ar permite sa ne organizam mai bine, oferindu-ne posibilitatea de a nota in ea informatii despre calatorii, carti de credit sau alte documente, camera dispozitivelor putand fi utilizata pentru a stoca informatiile importante. Aplicatia este dezvoltata de catre Apple, este testata de catre ingineri, insa nimeni nu stie daca ea va ajunge in iOS acum sau pana la sfarsitul anului.
The application is said to be a virtual pocket, and the app’s purpose is to be able to replicate a person’s pocket and store things such as coupons, travel information, credit card info and more. We speculate that Apple will be using the neat camera-based scanning software that we reported to be in development for the scanning in of business cards, receipts, and using that to provide virtual items that get used when shopping and travelling. We can’t help but think that this application will eventually tie into the rumored Apple wallet/NFC service at some point in the future.
