Announced with trumpets and trumpets more than 2 months ago, the project sn0wbreeze his iH8sn0w only now it seems to take shape in a program that we could use to create custom ipsw's in Windows. Although the author announced that next week he will release the first version of his program, considering the past and the promises made months ago, I am a bit circumspect that he will keep his word, but perhaps more important than that is if we still need such program now, when blackra1n/blacksn0w do a wonderful job and are much easier to use than sn0wbreeze, which will be unusable at the next firmware update until ih8sn0w updates it anyway.
However, I must tell you that it does NOT work with devices that have a new bootrom: iPhone 3GS/iPod Touch 3G and it will not solve this problem. I am making this warning because I have noticed that lately there are all kinds of theories about certain "solutions" to the tethered jailbreak problem, solutions that are just talk.
Here's what sn0wbreeze can do:
Simple Mode:
Simple Mode does a simple one click process. You simply browse for your IPSW, and it will begin to build! If you select an iPhone IPSW then, sn0wbreeze will ask you if you are on an Official Carrier. Answering that question will determine if you need to Hacktivate your Device, and fix YouTube + Push.

– Hacktivation (Activates your phone if you are not on an official carrier.)
– Add sn0wbreeze iPhone App, which keeps you up to date with all the latest news on sn0wbreeze, including upcoming releases, or new releases!
– Root Partition Size (For cydia applications, default size is 750 MB, Max is 7000MB[6.8GB])
[UNLOCK]
– This will allow you to use any GSM Carrier that is not permitted by your Carrier.
– Select Blacksn0w for the iPhone 3G/3GS on 5.11.07.
– Select Bootneuter for the iPhone 2G.
[INSTALLERS]
- Cydia is always installed.
– You have the option to install Rock aside Cydia.
[CUSTOM APPS]
– Install Cydia Applications/debs into the IPSW
– Custom Applications (From Big Boss, ZoTTD, Saurik, or Your own PC!) (Search Through the Repo via a Simple Search!)
[CUSTOM BOOTLOGOS]
– Replace the Apple Logo (On Boot)/Recovery Logo (In Recovery Mode) with your own Image!
– Boot Logos (Must be 320 x 480, Be less than 100KB in size, and have at least one transparent Pixel)
