Apple introduces screen orientation lock for iPhone

Last night I have you submitted 2 new features of iPhone OS 4.0 beta 3 which at least seem very interesting to me, it is about adding commands for the application iPod directly in the bar for managing applications open in the background, but also a button that blocks the orientation of the screen.

The first feature, the one related to the commands for the application iPod inserted directly into the bar for multitasking I find it extremely useful, especially when you are surfing the Internet and listening to a song or playing a game or doing any other actions and you want to change the song but you don't want to open the application iPod to do this. Through these new buttons you can open the application iPod, pause/start a song but also change the song that is playing at that time.

The second feature is a button to lock the screen orientation, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), decided to implement this feature through software and not hardware as in iPad, but the functionality is the same, if you are in lanscape/portrait mode you can lock the screen orientation through this button and as a bonus there is a small icon next to the battery percentage bar that warns you when you have activated the respective option. The respective option is available exclusively through the multiasking bar.

I like that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), begins to implement features that until now were only available through jailbreak, we will probably see autorotate in SpringBoard in the summer and who knows what other goodies. It looks like he's back Steve driving, it's time to make the iPhone great again Steve!
