The images from this article appeared today on the Apple.pro website and seem to show the screen of a possible future Apple product. It is about a 3×3 cm screen that some categorize as a touchscreen that could be implemented as a touchpad on future MacBook Pro models.
For now, no one knows exactly what this mini-touchscreen will be used for, but the Apple.pro website presented images of the iPhone 4 before the launch, so it is very possible that the owners of the website have people employed by Apple or their suppliers which gives them information. It would be interesting for Apple to produce MacBook Pros with such a touchpad, but my opinion is that this mini-screen will have another use in a future Apple product.
