Those from TiPB they made a very interesting short video in which they present the main news from the new beta version of iOS 4.2 released last night by Apple for developers. You can find all the changes brought to iOS 4.2 by the new beta 3 here, but in the video you will find presented all the SMS tones as well as some of the new iPad wallpapers. In iOS 4.2 beta 3 Apple changed the name of the SMS tones from "New Text Message" to "Text Tone" and unfortunately all these new tones are currently only available for iPhone 4. I don't know why Apple introduced this restriction but it's probably one temporary that will be released with beta 4 or with the release of the final version of iOS 4.2.
Starting with this new beta version, the iPad tablet will have all the new wallpapers available on the iPhone and iPod Touch, the only constant difference in the sizes of the versions for the iPad tablet. Another important piece of information is related to the tethering option on the iPad, which no longer works with certain mobile phone operators in Europe. That's all, I hope that beta 4 will bring more news and have better performances.
