iOS 4.3 available in March, brings Personal HotSpot and a new baseband

The site BGR.com quotes sources from within Apple who claim that the new iOS 4.3 will be available in March, will bring the Personal HotSpot function to operators that accept it and will bring a new baseband, at least for the iPhone 4. The new baseband will be 04.08.00, version of iOS will be 8F5148b and the Personal HotSpot function will be activated on the terminals whose operators will agree to the implementation of this function. Let's take them one at a time.

The new baseband 04.08.00 will be unblockable if the Dev Team releases the decryption solution now because they won't find another exploit to be implemented in an unlock solution in a month. So, it is possible that the decoding solution is the mistress, but we will discuss that later.

Personal HotSpot will only work on certain operators, that is, only those that will allow customers to use it, the rest will have to wait for a tweak or an application from Cydia to activate the function. I don't think that operators in Romania will want to block this function, with the exception of Vodafone, which does not offer internet tethering.

So, Personal HotSpot and a new baseband in iOS 4.3 that will be available from March.

According to our source, the personal hotspot feature that debuted on the Verizon iPhone yesterday will, in fact, be making its way to all iPhones in iOS 4.3. We're sure there will need to be carrier support for this feature, and for AT&T users it is entirely possible we might not see this right away.
