Polite Silencer brings exactly this functionality to the iPhone, that is, it allows users to turn off the sound of the device by simply shaking the phone. Polite Silencer is not the first tweak of this kind in Cydia, but it is free and works with any iDevice. Install Polite Silencer in your terminal, activate it from the Settings menu and when you want to turn off the sound, simply shake the device and the sound turns off automatically.
