Foxconn could manufacture Apple products in Brazil

Foxconn, one of the most important partners of the Apple company, could open in Brazil, in the city of Jundiai near the metropolis of Sao Paolo, a factory where it will produce iDevices, Macs or other products from the Apple portfolio. Foxconn has 2 factories in Brazil that produce products for the companies Sony and HP, and Apple would be the third largest company to receive its products from Brazil. For Apple, it would be extremely important to open a factory close to the US because it would greatly reduce the waiting period for product delivery, but maintenance costs would probably be higher.

This new factory could be opened in 2013, but for now the information should be regarded only as a rumor. Last year, a well-known Brazilian billionaire declared that he would be willing to invest almost 2 billion dollars in opening a factory of Apple products in Brazil, but it seems that everything remained at STAGE of "declaration".
