Bucharest, March 28, 2011. Generali Asigurări and Vodafone Romania launched in partnership, through the insurance broker Marsh Romania, an insurance for the payment of the bill of the subscribers of the mobile phone company. Thus, in exchange for a monthly premium of 1 Euro for a Standard insurance or 2 Euro for the Premium package, paying the phone bill or other utilities is no longer a problem in the event of an unwanted event.
For only 1 Euro/month extra to the subscription, Generali Asigurări takes over the payment of the client's invoice in case of involuntary job loss or temporary incapacity for work for any reason. In conditions of total permanent invalidity of the subscriber, the insurer pays the outstanding invoices and related penalties within the limit of 1.000 Euro. In addition, the product also has a protection component included, also functioning as a life insurance.
The Premium Package, with an insurance premium of 2 Euro/month, additionally offers the possibility of taking over the invoices for other utilities, compensation in the amount of 1.000 Euro in case of total permanent disability and financial protection for family members, respectively compensation of 1.000 Euro in case of accidental death or from any other cause of the insured.
"The specific risks of the economic period we are going through have led us to the conclusion that this insurance is useful both for Vodafone customers and for the company. We managed to create, together with our partners Vodafone and Generali, a unique and personalized insurance product on the Romanian market through the benefits offered. In addition to the main advantage, which is the coverage of the outstanding invoice of the Vodafone customer and which is paid by Generali at the time of the occurrence of the insured event, there are other benefits, such as financial help for the family in the event of a death or support offered to the customer in the event of unemployment ", explained Cristian Fugaciu, General Manager of Marsh Romania.
The insurance premium payment system is simple and provides for the inclusion of monthly costs in the telephone bill.
