Flickr is by far one of the most visited photo sharing sites in the US and not only and for several years now iDevices dominate the tops of the devices with which the photos uploaded to the site were taken. iPhone 4 is currently the most popular iDevice when it comes to taking pictures, and it's normal to be like that considering that it has one of the best cameras for smartphones. We cannot include the iPad 2 tablet in the same category because the latest iDevice released by Apple does not encourage users to take pictures with it. On Flickr there are just over 12.000 photos taken with iPad 2 compared to over 51 million taken with iPhone terminals.
In all honesty, the cameras in the iPad 2 are absolutely terrible. Whether it's about recording video or taking pictures, the quality is very poor, comparable to that of the iPhone 3G even. Apple did not want to mount high-performance cameras on the iPad 2 because we are talking about a tablet that is not normally used to take pictures but for many other things. The figures on Flickr place the iPad 2 tablet at the bottom of the ranking of iDevices that have the most pictures uploaded to the site.
