iPad 2 tablet with the best screen in the world?

Those from PCWorld they made a list of the best screens for tablets currently available on the market. They ranked the screen of the iPad 2 tablet on the 1st place considering it the best of all and in the table above we have listed the main tablets now available for purchase and how their screen performs in the PCWorld tests. PCWorld tested the following tablets: Acer Iconia Tab A500, Apple iPad 2, Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101, HTC Flyer, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi (7-inch) and T-Mobile G-Slate. The tablet screens were tested with the following criteria in mind: the way they display the shades of gray, the way the colors are displayed, the way the details of the photos are displayed and the way the details are displayed in the case of group photos.

The Apple iPad 2 was clearly and consistently the leader of the pack; it stumbled only on a photo with a variety of skin tones and colors, failing to strike the right balance. In another shot, the iPad 2 had the best color balance and accuracy, and it showed the best distribution of colors on our grayscale and color-bar images.

The two next-best displays were not on flagship Android Honeycomb tablets, but on tablets running Android 2.2 and 2.3–the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi and the HTC Flyer, respectively. Each of these models did particularly well with skin tones and color balance in actual photos, although neither one quite nailed the balance in our color-bar shot.

4 images were viewed on all tablets with the brightness set to maximum and the iPad 2 came out on top, having the best results in terms of the accuracy of color display, but also in terms of the distribution of colors within the images. Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi was ranked 2nd and HTC Flyer 3rd, tablets running Android 2.2 and Android 2.3 respectively. Even if the tests showed that the iPad 2 would have the best screen based on the criteria established above, backlight bleeding is a very big problem and displaying some pictures with the brightness set to maximum highlights this problem, so probably the iPad 2 screen would not be should have been listed as the best.
