PopPod is a new tweak for iOS that will be in the ModMyi repo today and will change the way we interact with the iPod application of our terminals. The tweak is built in a style similar to BiteSMS, that is, through pops it allows us to control the way the iPod application runs, it allows us to open the iPod application anywhere in iOS and it allows us to view the lyrics of the songs that are running. The tweak automatically adds the album cover as wallpaper in Springboard, but this aspect is more about design than functionality.

PopPod will be able to be opened from anywhere in iOS with the help of a gesture, so it works through the Activator and in addition to being able to start/stop a song or move to the next song, we will be able to change the volume level of the sound. PopPod is a very very interesting tweak, but it remains to be seen how useful it will prove to be and what impact its use will have on the operating system.

The tweak is available in Cydia in the ModMyi repo for $1.49.
