Apple partners start assembling iPhone 5 without iOS 5

For several months, there have been rumors that the iPhone 5 will be released this fall and according to some news information obtained from sources close to Apple's partners, it seems that Pegatron and Foxconn have already started assembling iPhone 5 terminals for a release that will take place in October. The information comes from a Japanese blog that in the past has provided both valid and contradictory information about Apple product launches. According to this information, Foxconn will produce 85% of the terminals to be delivered to Apple and Pegatron only 15% of them.

The interesting part is that the terminals will be assembled but will not have iOS 5 installed on them because Apple has not prepared the operating system for the official release. According to the same Japanese publication, Apple would launch the terminal in the first part of October in its own stores and it would reach resellers around October 21. If iOS 5 is the only thing holding back the release of the iPhone 5, then we will probably see at least one more beta version before the official launch, but it all depends on how quickly Apple will move in solving the problems of the new operating system.
