ARM Cortex A7 processors with the most energy efficient consumption

ARM, the company that produces most processors for mobile terminals, submitted today a new processor model called Cortex-A7 which it says has the most efficient energy consumption. The new processors are 5 times more efficient than the Cortex-A8 processors in terms of energy consumption, but they are also 5 times smaller. Unfortunately, Cortex-A7 is a processor dedicated to low-end smartphones, but it offers performances similar to those of the iPhone 4 processor, for example, so we are talking about an alternative worthy of consideration for Android terminal manufacturers.

Along with the Cortex-A7 processor, ARM also presented the new Cortex-A15, a quad-core processor that offers 5 times better performance than the processors in high-end smartphones. Cortex-A15 is ARM's answer to Nvidia Kal'El, the quad-core processor for mobile terminals developed by the company better known for the graphics cards released over the years. This new Cortex-A15 could find its implementation in a future iDevice considering that Apple has a very close relationship with ARM and maybe iPad 4/iPhone 7 will have it implemented.
