Exclusive: Orange offers free internet in the Bucharest metro

Although nothing was officially announced, today I found out that Orange offers free internet in the Bucharest metro to all its customers. I am talking about the internet via EDGE/3G which is free for all subscribers who have the APN NET set for the data connection, the APN that was theoretically set by Orange since last year when I had iOS 4.1 or 4.2.1. Having this APN set for the phone, your traffic in the subway should not be recorded and if you have a card you should be able to browse the internet without problems even if you do not have credit or an active internet option.

There is no information about this free service on the Orange website, but the telephone operators have been informed about the Orange promotion. Free internet is available in any station and on the entire metro section, throughout Bucharest.

UPDATED: The information was confirmed on Orange's Twitter account, so you can quietly use the free 3G internet in the subway. A good initiative from the "oranges", I hope others will come in the future.
