Apple prepares its store managers to work with unions

In the last year in the USA, at least one union of employees from Apple stores was formed, employees dissatisfied with the working conditions offered by the company from Cupertino. Although there were no incidents in Apple stores in the US, at the launch of the iPhone 4S in Italy, a group of employees he protested against the working conditions offered by Apple stores. Well, the company from Cupertino is taking into account the possible organization of employees in one or more unions such that he prepares himself store managers to work with this type of organization.

This course is intended to provide managers with a practical understanding of how unions affect the workplace, how and why employees organize, and the legal do's and don'ts of dealing with unions. This is a mandatory class for all new managers, and is required biannually for all managers.

All Apple store managers are obliged to participate in these trainings at least twice a year and it seems that Apple seriously considers the possible problems posed by the unions formed by its employees. Any multinational company must take into account the fact that its employees can form unions to defend their rights and it is normal for managers to be trained how to talk with the leaders of these unions.
