Although it has been repeatedly said that the relationship between Apple and Facebook would not be as close as it seems at first glance, the reality is that Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg they collaborated closely, Jobs being a mentor to Zuckerberg. In the video clip above, Zuckerberg admits that he collaborated very well with Apple, but he also admits that he received advice from Steve Jobs on how he should make his company better. Zuckerberg was taught by Jobs how to build around him a team focused on developing projects aimed at improving not only Facebook but also the user experience.

I had a lot of questions for him, Zuckerberg says. The topics include, how to build a team around you that's focused on building as high quality and good things as you have.

Steve Jobs saw Facebook as the only truly important social network in the world and he is right because Facebook has the largest user base at the moment. Both Apple and Facebook see Google as a competitor and nothing more, and none of the companies had such good relations with the boys from Mountain View. Even so, Apple implemented the Twitter social network in iOS and not Facebook, and users would have liked to see the latter in the Settings menu of iOS 5.
