A few weeks ago I told you that Apple is trying to gain control over several domains related to its products. These domains were owned by certain sites with a pornographic profile and accessing them led to a redirection to the respective sites. Apple filed a complaint with the International Organization that protects Intellectual Property and it seems that it succeeded to convince the owners of the respective domains to give them away without too much trouble, but probably for considerable sums of money.
The company that deals with the administration of the domains owned by Apple took over the new domains from the former users, but they still redirect users to the old sites. Probably in the near future the DNS will be updated and all domains will lead to Apple.com and in conclusion Apple owns the iPhone4S.com domain starting from the past few days.
