Apple could bring Siri to the Mac as well

Siri is one of the most "discussed" functions of the new iPhone 4S terminal, but for now it is available in beta version for users. Even so, Apple is constantly working on it service improvement and soon they could even bring it to Macs, at least that's what an American analyst claims. He bases his statements on the fact that Apple is currently looking for engineers to improve the Siri system and in the information provided by Apple for employment it is specified that they are looking for people who know the Mac OS X system intimately.

One of the Siri job posts requested applicants with a "passion for the Macintosh platform", while another of the recruitment ads explains that Siri should be considered "an entire miniature OS within the OS..." This choice of words implies that in the future, Siri will have to be responsible for more tasks than handling a few quick requests on the iPhone. Analyst Brian Blair of Wedge Partners believes the next all-in-one computer could integrate Apple TV-like functions, allowing iMacs to stream video and other content to Wi-Fi enabled TVs.

A second possible explanation for the implementation of the Siri assistant in Macs lies in the hypothetical launch of an iMac that we could use as a television and control it through Siri. Of course, this idea is very bizarre, but it was intensively discussed last week by analysts. Finally, the Siri functionality has been partly implemented in Mac OS X for many years, but not in a format similar to that of iOS, and it would not be excluded that Apple port Siri to Macs, but that may be in a few years when the assistant will not be one of the main functions of a recently released iDevice.
