35 million iPhone terminals sold by Apple in Q4 2011?

Q4 2011 seems to have been for Apple the most profitable fiscal quarter in history and the iPhone 4S could be the device that generated a spectacular increase in sales. American analysts speculate that Apple would have sold 35 million iPhone terminals in the last 3 months of 2011, 13.5 of them in the US alone. They base their claims on information and estimates received from the management of mobile phone operators in the US, but also on the fact that in general approximately 40-45% of iPhone sales come from the US.

I for one think that 35 million might be a bit high, but I think that Apple sold around 30 million iPhones in the last three months. iPhone 4S generated very high sales and the availability of iPhone 3GS/4 terminals contributed seriously to the revenue generated by Apple. I think that the results presented by Apple for Q4 2011 will once again amaze the horde of American analysts who generally mess with the forecasts and I'm not saying this because I like Apple, but because until now the application monitoring companies in The App Store indicates that Apple has sold a lot.
