TinyUmbrella helps you save BBtickets for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S

Last evening a new version of TinyUmbrella was launched, finally bringing the possibility to save BBTickets for iPhone 4/4S terminals. These BBTickets are basically SHSHs for baseband and they are used by iTunes when we restore an iDevice and yes, BBTickets + SHSHs are necessary to restore. The option now introduced in TinyUmbrella could allow us to downgrade to iOS in the future or maybe it could allow us to unlock using a method discovered by the Dev Team, but at the moment we don't know what it will do.

I'm pushing 5.10.12 for iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, and iPhone 4 CDMA users with functionality to save BBTickets for use later on…

For now, BBTickets are completely useless for us, but in the future they will be used for something, although at the moment no one knows what. iH8sn0w and developer TinyUmbrella are working on developing a method to downgrade iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone 4/4S and so this BBTicket system could be useful there because these 2 devices contain basebands for GSM functions and iTunes uses these tickets to restore. Until then, download TinyUmbrella from here and before saving SHSHs, make sure you have unchecked the Save SHSH from Cydia option from the Advanced menu. Unfortunately, the new option will only save BBTickets for current versions of iOS.
