After publication article on sending invitations for the September 12 Apple event, some readers of this blog wondered why they did not receive such an invitation. Well, these invitations were sent only to some journalists from all over the world, Apple inviting them to participate in the event to see all the news presented there. Of course, Apple chose journalists from the most important media trusts around the world and nobody leaves Romania because our country is not really that important for Apple.
Because people want to get there, hackers thought to do some attacks phishing type in which they send an email with the image of the invitation and add a button telling users to sign up to go to the event. Of course, everything is as fake as possible and accessing the page could infect your computer or you could unknowingly fill out a fake login form on the Apple website and give your Apple ID password to hackers. In conclusion, if you receive such an "invitation" by email, ignore it because it certainly does not come from Apple.
