British Design & Art Direction (D&AD) awarded in London the Apple company brand and its design team considering them to be the best of the last 50 years, Jony Ive and his entire team of 16 people being taken by Apple to pick up the prize. We all know how appreciated the design of iDevices is and we all know that Jony Ive is extremely appreciated within Apple, but also within the international community of industrial designers. The prize offered today is offered annually and internationally recognized as a method of rewarding the best designers in the field, Apple having the honor of being praised this year.

Sir Jonathan Ive declined to say anything publicly but wore a big smile as he chatted to fellow guests at the 50th anniversary celebration of D&AD, which stands for Design and Art Direction. D&AD chief executive Tim Lindsay said: "The people, companies and brands celebrated tonight are the true visionaries of the past 50 years of commercial creativity. Their work has changed the way we live our lives, the way we communicate and the way we perceive businesses and each other."

"If anyone wondered whether D&AD mattered, the world's most valuable company has flown its entire design team over," said Robert Senior, chief executive of Saatchi & Saatchi, who added it sent a strong signal about the importance of creative industries. "Conservative Government, are you listening?" he added.

For Apple, awards of this kind only confirm the supremacy held by the company in the field of design, hundreds of millions of people using the products designed by the team inside Apple. Probably in the future they will receive as many awards, maybe even more prestigious than the one offered now.
