The important thing is that in just one year, the iPad tablet would have lost 29% of its market share in the US, and this is not because people stopped buying iPad tablets, but because a lot of people also bought Android tablets.
The evolution of Android tablets is amazing and I hope that the study is true, because Apple sees that in the most important market it has a very tough battle with Android tablet manufacturers, and this requires it to innovate even more. Leaving tablets aside, I will tell you that in the US 46% of smartphones run Android OS, 38% are iPhones, BlackBerry fell to a market share of only 10%, the rest being divided between Windows Phone, Symbian and the rest of the operating systems for mobile phones.
